Gurrumul tries USIndigenous singer Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu is having a crack at the American market following the extension of the deal between his Australian label, Skinnyfish Music, and the independent record company Dramatico. The blind singer's award-winning album Gurrumul will be released in the US on June 15. There are plans for a tour taking in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as television and radio appearances. That plan worked well in Britain and Europe last year, where album sales soared after his television appearances.Short and sweetWith the short-play festival behind us for another year, it is the turn of the dancers.
